MONTHS BEFORE:
Begin compiling your guest list
Meet to discuss your ceremony with the person who will perform it
(i.e. minister, judge, etc.)
Determine how many ushers you will need (one for every 50 guests)
If you are traveling out of the country, update your passport; arrange
for visas, international driver's license, immunizations if necessary

MONTHS BEFORE:
Complete
your guest list and combine it with your fiancée’s list
Order wedding attire for yourself, best man, ushers and fathers (Be
sure to consult your fiancée!)
Order the wedding rings
Arrange to pay for flowers: bride's bouquet, men's boutonnieres, mothers'
corsages
See your doctor for check-up, blood test, etc.

6-8 WEEKS BEFORE:
With
your parents, plan the rehearsal dinner
Consult with your fiancée and arrange accommodations for relatives
and ushers from out of town

WEEKS BEFORE:
Select
gifts for the bride & ushers
Make sure necessary medical, legal & religious documents are in
order
Give or attend bachelor party
Pick up wedding rings & check engraving
Help fiancée write thank you notes
Get the marriage license with your fiancée
Arrange for your best man to drive you and your new wife from the
reception to wherever you will stay on your wedding night
Double-check your airline and honeymoon reservations

WEEK BEFORE:
Explain any special seating arrangements (i.e. family, disabled guests,
etc.) to your ushers
Put the clergy member's or judge's fee into an envelope, seal, and
give it to the best man to deliver after the ceremony
Purchase traveler's checks
Get your going-away clothes ready so you can change after the reception
Pack for your honeymoon.
Arrange to move your belongings into your new home.
Remind best man & ushers of the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner
details; give them gifts at rehearsal dinner
